I’ve said this before, I’ll say it again.

There was a lot that passed during the 2023 legislative session that had long won over DFL legislators, they just needed to wait for majorities.

But the Northstar Promise Act was not that. Getting that bill passed was a massive accomplishment by Sen. Fateh

Mayor Frey is all veto and no vision. Minneapolis deserves a leader that will listen to the expertise of our community members, and fight against gentrification in our cultural corridors. As Mayor, I will increase transparency to make our city affordable and accountable to us.

Last week, Mayor Frey continued his record of vetos that help only his donors. This is his 15th veto of Council actions, which is more than the previous two mayors combined. Minneapolis deserves better than bending to corporations at the cost of our local, BIPOC small businesses.

Anti-Semitism has no place in our city, and the hate speech found at Temple Israel this morning is unacceptable. Minneapolis cannot, and will not tolerate violence against our communities, and we stand with our Jewish neighbors.

Huge day on Sunday for Team Fateh! We had over 70 volunteers and knocked thousands of doors across Ward 10 despite the rain to share a vision for a more affordable and accountable Mpls. We closed out with the knock with Play Date w/ Fateh, & my newest addition to the team, Imran.

The goal is to have no encampments. But until the city funds housing-first solutions, they're inevitable. Frey's encampment sweeps don't work. He isn't solving homelessness, he's wasting valuable resources. Everyone deserves a dignified path to housing, not a fenced off sidewalk.
