I enjoy breaking and sometimes restoring Japanese retro video game consoles and computers. Currently on a mission to create new controllers for obscurities.

I still have some FM2AND6 controllers from batch 2. They are designed for FM Towns, but are compatible with many different Japanese PCs. For more detailed info, please see the github repo linked in the listing.

Really looking forward to check this out!
I got the updated dpads for the Double D controllers in today. They pass the button test. By that I mean everything works as it should, and you can pish the dpads straight down and not get errant presses. We're fully blacked out now too, which looks pretty cool.
I did some more controller work last night. I don't think I can find an off the shelf strain relief that would fit the controller/cable combo for the PC9821 controller, so I made one that seems to work well.

I also got updated dpads in for the Double D. I still need to test, but it feels good.
The keyboard definitely needs some brightening, but they're both in nice shape.
Hey @jeffsretrogaming.com here are some pics of the Marty mouse and keyboard. I will try to test tonight
Oops, posted the switches twice. Here's the CMT
Oh, nice. There's a service manual floating around with schematics, and in English no less.
Oof, I hate when that happens. There was one fairly recently with the floppy drive add-on. I was tempted, but really only wanted the main unit.
You have one, right? Do you have pinouts for the connections?
I won an auction for the oddball Casio FP-1100. I have one tape for the system I got in a previous listing. I've been curious about this one for a while. It'll be making the journey with some misc PC-98 goods.
I've almost bought one many times, but I just can't pull the trigger.
I dumped a lot of time into SSX and SSX Tricky.
Testing out a new BASIC controller. These can be configured to many systems via solder jumpers. I made this one for my PC98 Ap2 which uses a 9p miniDIN.

Metal Force uses FM Towns style Select and Run buttons, which is neat. Run pauses and Select does like a fast forward thing.

More to come.
Nice! I need to get another new pair soon, maybe I'll try those ones out.
Ugh, C22 is always nasty. It's just about as reliable as the damn FDD.
The PC9821 Ap2 is slowly coming together. It doesn't look like much, but everything is custom to fit. The Gotek cases especially took a bit of work designing.

The trim cover to neaten things up will be the most difficult though. A lot of curves.
Unpopulated PCBs have a 55% tariff, 3D prints have 115%😯 I recently put an order in. Nov 1st is supposed to be the extra 100% on top.

My $93 PCB order was $204 with shipping and fees.
My wife and I went to a show and I was worried about parking. The lots only charged till 8pm, and it was free after. It cost us 75 cents total. Traffic was a nightmare, but a win is a win.
I should get some of those so I don't have to jam narrow lead caps into 5mm spaced footprints like an animal.
Finally got a few minutes to create the 8mm one. So the family is complete, for now.

I'll test them out during this recap project to see if I want to make any changes.
The replacement caps should arrive tomorrow, and I'll start tackling things when I can get some time. I'll update when done.

The different sizes are for different diameters. I could make a 4 in 1, but it's a 5 minute print as is.
I would say most likely, yes. It would be a pricey recap as there are over 60 caps on the board though.
