First episode of A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS was a bit of a snoozer.

I don't fault people for posting about things they love in these dark times. It doesn't mean they/we aren't engaging with the horrors of the real world. Joy gives life meaning and is the 'fuel' we use to fight real world battles. Anger alone won't suffice.

HEATED RIVALRY Then vs Now

That Hansel's so hot right now. Hansel.

I like HEATED RIVALRY, but I'm not here for QUEER AS FOLK slander. That show was doing similar storylines decades ago. For example, there was a whole story arc where Emmett dated Drew the closeted famous football star and had to figure out how to exist in that restrictive sports world.

The Golden Globes 'Comedy' categories get nuttier every year. PULP FICTION and AMERICAN BEAUTY weren't nominated as 'Comedies'. ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER, MARTY SUPREME, etc. shouldn't be either. That category used to be for movies like LEGALLY BLONDE and BEST IN SHOW. Welcome to Hellscape 2026.

Congrats to the director of the upcoming BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER reboot for her Golden Globe win tonight! #ChloéZhao

Jessie Buckley! HAMNET was good. She plays a witch and I always support witch cinema. #GoldenGlobes

I love Wanda Sykes. That's all.

Flipped on The Golden Globes just in time to see Judd Apatow's drunk rambling speech. Very 2026.

My views on the state of the world right now would be best be expressed through music from the 1989 teen cult classic HEATHERS.

"Oh yeah I remember seeing that movie poster all the time on Letterboxd lists" is the new "Oh yeah I remember seeing that VHS cover all the time at my local video store"

A.I. is being used for so many nefarious things when it should just be used to put a Santa hat on Ghostface in SCREAM then call it the Holiday Edition. 🎄🔪

There's something oddly comforting knowing that reruns of CHARMED still air on cable in 2025. Makes me nostalgic for pre-streaming times. I think I'm going to wake up tomorrow morning and watch the series finale on TNT. 📺✨️

Adulthood has taught me that maybe the darkest, coldest time of year *isn't* actually the most joyful. And it's OK to acknowledge that.

Hollywood really had it out for fruitcakes in Christmas movies. I don't mean gay men. I mean the fruitcakes the characters were always giving each other to symbolize disdain. Some fruitcakes are good, and sometimes a fruitcake is just a fruitcake, Louise. 🎄🍞

If you hear me chanting "Pop. Six. Squish. Uh-uh. Cicero. Lipschitz." at work, calmy back away and mind yo business.

We're six years into this decade and I still couldn't really tell you what the 2020s *is* as a decade. Other than just kind of sh*tty.

The Broadway community dragged Patti LuPone out to publicly apologize when she said disrespectful things in public interviews. SAG should be doing the same thing to Tarantino. But they won't.
December 10, 2025 at 2:24 AM
This category has always been sort of a joke, but at least 25 years ago they were still nominating actual comedies like BEST IN SHOW, BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY and LEGALLY BLONDE. This really is a dark timeline we're living in.

Do I like some of Tarantino's films? Yeah. Would I be ok never hearing him in an interview ever again? Also yeah.
December 7, 2025 at 11:14 PM
Concerning? Yeah. But the doomsday predictions are getting kind of boring. Hollywood has been spiraling for a few decades now, and this is just feels like the next step rather than some catastrophic major change.

You're telling me WELCOME TO DERRY is proving to be the soulless cash grab many of us thought it would be?

It's low-key kind of nice to see Tarantino finally getting called out for spewing immature garbage in interviews. It's not a new thing for him.

SCREAM 7 in February. THE COMEBACK Season 3 in March. I choose to believe happier times are ahead.
