So, nearly five years since my last cycle tour holiday - early in the pandemic in 2020, between lockdowns, from Bordeaux to Carcassonne - I’ve finally organised the next one. In May I’m going to cycle from Nevers in the upper Loire, following the river or its Lateral Canal down to Orléans

Mind you, I do take a dim view of my LA passing on the RingGo admin fee to me instead of absorbing it themselves, bearing in mind that they save the cost of maintaining car reading machines or of maintaining and emptying coin-ops, not to mention cash security issues.

Hmmm - he’s correct as far as real estate is concerned. If it’s here it can’t move abroad and you can tax whoever owns it, resident or not. Otherwise, see Dan Neidle’s musings on the subject - there are better ways of taxing wealth than a wealth tax.
