Origin Story

1.76 acres is the playing area of the pitch at the Emirates.

115 yards x 74 yards = 76,590 square feet

76,590 square feet/43560 square feet per acre = 1.76 acres.
Ah the old “it’s the CL just fall over the ref will call it on your opponent” tactic.

There were enough loose ends in “Five Nights at Freddy’s” to make a sequel?

Trossard made a gesture when coming off like “nothing to worry about”, at least that’s what it looked like.*

*caveat: I am bad at reading body language and players aren’t doctors.

Saw some very interesting things that half. We were fully willing to sit off the ball and wait it out. And, not a single player looked fearful of any of what transpired - even the kids.

It took a perfect corner for us to score, a perfect sequence for them to score.

That’s pretty good stuff!

Barely a minute and the speed of Bayern’s ball movement is already clear. Nothing like other PL teams we’ve faced.

Max Dowman is ridiculous.

David Koresh was a contrarian, too.

Maresca gets a yellow card today to go with the FIVE he’s already gotten in the PL this season.

Where is the deluge of fainting couch articles about his emotional control issues, his lack of discipline?

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social Why are there no architects on the housing transition committee?

Rewatching the game and Hincapie really stands out, despite Sp*rs’ lack of intent.

What a great first PL start.

This United run is like the Howie Spira-era Yankees.

Enjoy it while you can.

United fans mad about only four added minutes.

They’ve had 77+ minutes with an extra man.

Are the commentators talking about Moyes being too emotional to have control over his own players and chastising the Everton manager for being excessively animated?

Didn’t think so.

I freely admit I didn’t expect Timber to be so impactful going forward.

It was my biggest concern about him relative to the change from Ben White.

But he’s become a real presence and key piece of the offense.

Arteta gets animated on the sidelines: Graeme Le Saux chastises him, says to watch it, that the manager has some issues controlling himself.

Romero takes a useless yellow card and get suspended *while his team is getting a beatdown*: Le Saux “loves his commitment”.

This is NBC’s “best”.
November 24, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Just noted: Merino takes an elbow from VdV, Romero yaps and takes a stupid yellow (and thus a suspension), then Le Saux waxes poetic about how he loves Romero, his “commitment”.

All while CR’s team is down 3-1, getting run over, after a foolish card costing him a game.

That’s some “commitment”.
November 24, 2025 at 5:18 PM
Please don’t let anyone gaslight you and make it out like Eze’s goal, our second, was Arsenal benefiting from someone’s fortuitous “opinion”.

The VAR came to the correct decision and it’s worth acknowledging that, for once.

There is no offsides obstruction.

Frank needs to say this in the voice of Tom Waits, à la “flying high in April, seriously shot down in May” from “Nighthawks at the Diner”.
A shell shocked Spurs boss Thomas Frank speaking here in the Emirates media room after Arsenal routed his side 4-1 to win the North London derby: “I was very confident on Friday…”
