Can't believe this is the 10th year for our 'curb garden.'

We put up signs inviting people to help themselves when we have extra . . . In return, we've made new friends, received kind notes, cash, veggies in trade, anonymous baked goods. .

We make little Ollas for potted plants, as well as large Ollas for in-ground watering. Fill with water every 5-7 days. These are for 8"-12" planters.

Ollas are Terracotta pots that are buried in the garden, and filled with water, which then slowly transfers through the walls of the pot.

They are more efficient and more affordable than drip irrigation!

This is one of my oldest, and best loved glaze combinations. I call it Northern Lights.

It was inspired by a brilliant night sky in northern Wisconsin many years ago. I never know what to expect when I open the kiln, but it is always pretty!

As a potter, I scrap a LOT of pieces after the glaze firing because my glazes have misbehaved.

These glazes, tho . . . they just keep coming! I never thought I could be so happy about consistency!

Ice Candles!

I love ice candles! To me, they are magical on cold dark nights. We make them by filling 5 gallon buckets with water and leaving it outside overnight to freeze.

I broke one when I tipped it out of the bucket this morning, but I'll make more❤️
