His message was clear: Ontario’s outpatient cardiology system delivers excellent care, but without infrastructure support in the 2026 Budget, its sustainability is at risk.

Congratulations to the teams at UHN's Peter Munk Cardiac Centre and Ajmera Transplant Centre on the completion of Canada’s first transplant using a heart that stopped beating before donation. This type of donation is projected to boost Canada's heart donor pool by 30%.
