This all being said:

The world is rough, and difficult, and anathema to people trying to fight it.

Doing what you need to to survive will pretty much always be the first heuristic I think anyone should follow.

Don’t lose that.

Some of the ways that we consume lose that connection, between two beings whose lives are different for having met.

Engaging in Labubu’s and Wendell Fortnite and AI and all these fads slowly weathers these connections from our lives.

Fight it.

The biggest problem in the world is how disconnected everyone is.

It’s rare to see how your dollar helps someone else. It’s rare to have a connection with those whose livelihoods you support.

Furries see both. We are friends with our artists. We see them able to live because we decided to support.

There’s No Ethical Consumption Under Capitalism and all that but the only reason we have the spaces we have is because nobody else held the reins.

They rejected us. That gave us power, and we were allowed to make our own.

Money *is* power. Engagement *is* money.
