#SanJose is looking a little busier in #OpenHistoricalMap. Comprehensive historical coverage of #TrafficLights (courtesy of the city) makes it easier to tell where the major streets ran.

1960 and today:
In 1960, there were only a handful of traffic lights downtown. The city limits were starting to expand to the east. A railway line still ran north and south along the east side. Today, series of traffic lights indicate where major arterial streets run, such as Story and King roads. The Guadalupe and Sinclair freeways cut across the city, and a large interchange with the Bayshore Freeway dominates the right side of this map.

So glad to see the community come out last weekend for the Urban Growers Network Community Resource Fair! We enjoyed getting to know you, introducing our projects, and giving away retro CfSJ swag!

This is a digital flyer with a vintage appearance for an upcoming event for Open Source San Jose. It reads: "Hack Night @ Open Source San Jose (formerly known as Code for San Jose)
Bring your laptop to get started on civic minded projects!
When: Thursday, July 24 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: 76 Race St. San Jose"
The Open Source San Jose logo is also present, which this author thinks may be an artistic depiction of the Janet Gray Hayes Rotunda building at San Jose City Hall in blue with a red outline, with "Open Source San Jose" written under it, The word Open is written in red, and the other three words are in blue.
