We’ve been quiet for a bit but there’s lots of Orange Works news coming along soon.

2026 is going to be a busy one.

We have had a great week at @edfringe.bsky.social - and we’re thrilled at how Locusts has been received.

We have one more show tomorrow at 4:05pm. Get those tickets here: tickets.thespaceuk.com/event/911:38...

Our audience response has been great 😊
We’re getting wonderful audience feedback to Locusts. It’s a joy to perform and a privilege to chat to audiences afterwards - one lady thanked me for the play and described it as “a gift”.

Locusts is at TheSpaceUK Triplex at 16:05 until the 9th. Don’t miss it.
Day two of our #edfringe - we’re at Triplex with our acclaimed drama at 16:05pm today until the 9th.

That’s eight shows, by the way, not a show lasting a whole week long. That would be madness.

Orange Works are appalled that conversion practices have still not been outlawed in the UK, despite many government pledges to do so.

Stonewall UK are currently campaigning to ban conversion therapy. Visit www.stonewall.org.uk/get-involved... for more information and to get involved
Ban conversion practices
LGBTQ+ people have nothing to be ashamed of and there is nothing wrong or broken about who they are, yet conversion practices are still legal in the UK…

Real life experiences of conversion practices form a powerful central story-arc in Locusts, an acclaimed drama at the Edinburgh Fringe from Friday 1st August.

Stephen’s story highlights the lifelong impact conversion practices can have on LGBTQ+ people, and those around them.

Our shows are an hour apart which may make co-watching tricksy, but we are only around the corner from you so… will see!
We arrive a week today. Very much looking forward to it!
Great to be a part of this wonderful lineup!

(Locusts is in the middle of the bottom row!)
Ian Tucker-Bell, one of the writers of Locusts, discusses his experiences of conversion therapy and why the practice should be banned.

Locusts is at the #EdinburghFringe from August 1-9. #TheatreSky #banconversiontherapy

Locusts - and the Edinburgh Fringe - opens two weeks today.

Locusts follows Stephen & Jeff whose lives are disrupted by the return of a figure from Stephen’s youth, asking for the impossible.

Told with heart, honesty, and humour this is a play you don’t want to miss.

Happy #WorldFringeDay good #TheatreSky people!

Our fringe adventures have taken to Edinburgh, Faversham, Camden, Brighton, Leeds, Madrid… Here’s a little snapshot of our adventures so far…

See at #edfringe in a few weeks!
Pete, the pastor who believes God made Stephen straight.

Conversion therapy is often shown as a big dramatic thing, but Ian’s experience (like many others) was subtle, coercive, and damaging.

Find out more at #edfringe Aug 1st - 9th.

We are *very* excited to be heading back to #Edinburgh in a few weeks and performing Locusts again. It’s a show we’re so proud of and one that leaves quite the impact on those that see it.

If you’re in the area come down and say hello after.
