There is an unfortunately high density of some of the worst people on the internet on here.I don't want them removed from the internet, I just want separation from them. This is why, g-d willing, federation will come swiftly.

i don’t want to just be the nicer alternative to elon — i want this to be a paradigm shift where i was influential in kicking it off, but overall it is about the town square of public social becoming more self-organizing and open to innovation

this is a willful misunderstanding of what i’ve been saying. we’re working hard to build out moderation tooling and hire up for a small team, as we did not expect exponential growth over a few short weeks. communicating this with the community is a form of moderation as well.

I am extremely grateful for Jay but I suspect she's going to be put under extreme amounts of pressure. @jay.bsky.team -- there are negative utility monsters out there, people who will claim that no matter what you do, if it goes against their preferences it will cause them infinite harm. Be strong.
