It’s very sad to hear #pocket is going offline.
It was my favorite app for a very long time and my first big sideproject was to automate delivering your articles as magazines to Kindles!
During college that was one of the big places I always wanted to work at.

Long Ago Can Do Much More Than Help Track Habits
The app has just been updated with an Apple Watch version.

The whole argument of Facebook eavesdropping you to show ads is just a fallacy of people thinking they’re so unique you would have to spy on them to know they want a Switch 2.

Happy #Mustang Birthday for those of us who celebrate! 🐴

I always do vibe coding.
I don’t code when the vibes are off, which is pretty much every day.

The discussion about there being too many stray cats on the streets causing havoc on the environment is completely wrong.
The real problem is that there’s few rats on the streets to keep cats entertained.
We need more rats on the streets.

I love game dev blogs because posts go from: “Getting started with Git for dummies” to “Optimizing quaternion rotation operations for parallel rendering pipeline processing”

If not even AI, trained on all 3+ million NPM packages, can write good JavaScript I think we should just stop

I’ve been frankly unimpressed by OpenAI/Anthropic’s thinking models for coding tasks.
They take 10x the time and produce barely better results than non-thinking ones.

Maybe that’s close to what we coders do.

Not that I’ve been a victim of it myself (at least there) but feels like the indie app scene in Threads is incredibly toxic with people just calling out each other copycats for whatever reason.

Calm down guys, it’s just task manager apps.

Office life is a constant cycle of being asked if you did something fun last weekend then if you are planning something fun for the next weekend

Just added previews to notifications in @[email protected]

I bet most people won’t notice them but devil’s in the details

After 10 years of working with large monorepos I feel confident enough to declare they suck.

Sometimes I just do #SwiftUI components because I like the challenge without any clear purpose.

Here’s a marquee that also supports manual scrolling. That last part in particular was tricky than I expected given that for some reason `.scrollPosition` does not report user scrolls.

The next release of Long Ago is packed with new themes.

I added a bunch of color themes inspired by the colors of my native Mexico and my adoptive PNW.

Also you can finally choose a different light and dark theme!

I love Swift Charts.
The API is incredibly descriptive and easy to use.

The more I work with #SwiftUI the more I appreciate it. Sure, some bugs are very obscure, but the momentum you get when you start working with it is amazing.

So many new features shipped and in progress!
