Vi gauntlet update. This automotive primer is where it's at. Much better than the plastic-specific primer I tried before. Next up: airbrushing.

Vi's gauntlet progress. The acetone + wood filler did a really nice job for most seams, but I hated the spray primer I used. Will sand and use an auto body primer instead (should have done that from the start).

Modified some Zoey and Rumi chibi models I found on MakerWorld to be beads to add to the Mira norigae I got for Christmas. Here they are partially primed. We'll see how they do when the jewelry fixtures are added.

Modified some Zoey and Rumi chibi models I found on MakerWorld to be beads to add to the Mira norigae I got for Christmas. Here they are partially primed. We'll see how they do when the jewelry fixtures are added.

The gauntlet prop has both resin and PLA printed components, so I had to do some bond testing. Good old-fashioned super glue was the only thing one created a strong bond (of the adhesives I had lyring around).

Saw a random video that recommended combining wood filler and acetone (2:1) followed by sanding to smoothen layer lines and seams. Let's see how this comes out.
