I agree with political analyst Yousef Munayyer, a senior fellow at the Arab Center in Washington DC. I am sceptical myself given that Trump and Netanyahu are the central figures of this ‘Gaza deal’. I think right after the Israeli hostages have been released by Hamas, the deal will collapse.

Trump is then considering going to the Middle East, with the possibility of a visit to Gaza, as a breakthrough on a deal is expected imminently.
