All they dream of is power, money is a means to it. Its the through-line between both the things you listed and the stuff billionaires got up to behind closed doors together. They want to exert control and dominate others and thus seek technology that further entrenches their ability to do so.

i dont know if any #gamedev programmers will see this, but your (non-LLM) work is important and essential, especially on basic boilerplate menus that everyone needs, like volume settings and input rebinding. unsung heroes that glue it all together

not saying that it's a good goal to be a bluesky microcelebrity, but it would certainly give our team time to work.
i have a day job that "encourages" long lunches and two hours commute every day, so game work is slow.
but this idea is so good it is worth the wait.

yesterday i was tired, feverish in the afternoon, and time stolen by shopping and car maintenance. today i have an "optional" work event to "volunteer" at. but still, i was able to write custom data to textures to render waveforms in unreal engine. it is my own victory
