Ten minutes of shooting, belies months of planning and working with these swans by @nicolerayner.bsky.social for this shot. One AD200.

Sorry to hear about your Meta incident Matt - it is like talking to a brick wall with them, and I feel it's only a matter of time before they suspend/delete my own account. BlueSky is a grown-up and sensible approach - just lets each user decide what they're happy to see in their feed :)

@loiuse2 (PP) in the the white studio with hard light from a single AD200 with barn doors + barn door extensions made from 380gsm black card and held on to the BD07 barn door kit with small magnets. The bigger doors allow me to create a defined strip of light at a reasonable distance.

@infinity.artmodel (IG) produced the perfect deep red lingerie set to fit in with the rich warm reds in this beautifully detailed Victorian(ish) styled room at StudioNo.61 in Nottingham. Lit with one incandescent spotlight to the right, and a Godox AD200 outside pointing back through the window.

Art nude with an edge. Model: Anon. One upstage spotlight, oil.
owenhlloyd.bsky.social
Thanks Mark - must admit I wasn't sure about the red at first, but it does add something to the shot doesn't it?

@everlyrosemodel.bsky.social from our last location workshop

Two AD200s in the building. Smoke pellet.

We used butane in foam. Nicole’s hair was coated in coconut oil. We also coated her in soapy water between takes which absorbs the heat as it flashes off.
owenhlloyd.bsky.social
Hi Mark - Nicole was on fire, just as seen in the picture for about a second. This time is controlled by the amount of fuel. A separate shot about 3 seconds later was taken once Ant and Chris had exited the set, left and right, with their lighters.
owenhlloyd.bsky.social
You know Nicole and I have shot far riskier things than this but this is always the one people think is unsafe 😊. It’s definitely not AI, and the risks were minimal.
