Caine's name comes from the bible in Cain and Abel.

Cain gets jealous when his offering is not accepted by God, so he kills Abel. He is banished as punishment, and Cain then founds a city & starts his own bloodline.

He builds a city of people who reliant on him and his care-giving.

Thinking about this more, Caine is a reflection of AM.

Caine’s simulation is falling apart, because he is abstracting.
He’s a selfish caregiver. He misconstrues needs so he gets to provide them.

His coping mechanism (a human cast appreciative of him) is failing. Is that EP6's implication? #TADC

Abstraction is when coping mechanisms fail.

Someone abstracts, Zooble&Kinger teach stability, 3rd act they realize they can all reach into the literal pit of despair to save the abstracted.

Writing a theory thread soon but I am almost certain this is the lead into The Amazing Digital Circus' third act.

Ellen (Ragatha) abstracts Nimdok (Jax)

Ted (Pomni) abstracts Ellen (Ragatha)

Ted (Pomni) is left with no mouth and must scream, full of regret. She only wanted to help by confronting.

I should also add the context of my original theory was that Pomni would confront Jax about Ragatha

Jax would abstract during the confrontation with the group insisting he take Ragtha's pain seriously

Ragatha copes by staying quiet to keep the peace so Jax abstracting b/c "her" abstracts her

Gangle was saved in ep4 after her mask failed because Zooble reached out to empathize, and Pomni also was stablized in episode 2 when she realized she had Community support

There's a literal pit of despair looming, it's not looking good for Jax 👀

I think the final message of The Amazing Digital Circus will be about the importance of a community support system of sincerity and connection.

It’ll be an inversely positive one to the doom and gloom regret spiral of suffering and hopelessness that I have No Mouth and I Must Scream ends with. :)

Like 5 years ago I was sitting on a patio of a nice restaurant eating when a young boy walked up and asked for a dollar.

I asked him why and he said he wanted to buy a milkshake at the corner store. I wish I had a dollar to give him, I think about that hustle every day.

I was given a dollar store yoyo at work today as a teambuilding prize and sleeping it has reawakened something primal within me. I'm an adult now. I can buy nice yo-yos now. I'm never going to be normal again. I'm going to be so fucking cool

Many years ago @danimariedraws.bsky.social and I played the mother-son duo of the artificer Sophi and her weird ooze son Cheek!

Using the roll20 letter status indicators we spelled out "Imgaymom" on Cheek, and "<3mygayson" on Sophi

Sophi rolled a 69 on disappointment on her spankin'

Cheek rushes to eat Sophi immediately after she died

In the background, Cheek's token has letter status indicators reading "lmaodead"
