Oxford Humanists brings non-religious people together to be happier and more fulfilled and to be a force for good in our community.
Oxford Humanists attended the Remembrance Day Parade on St Giles, joining others to remember all who have suffered in conflict.

Diana Naumann honoured us by reading a lovely Humanist message from Deborah Hooper (Humanists UK), reflecting on the value of every life lost.

We will remember everyone.

Everyone who fought, who lived, who died, and every conscientious objector, too.

We will remember their sacrifice.

We will remember their belief in freedom, and the common humanity that unites us.

Democracy. Freedom. Peace. These are the values we live by as humanists — inseparable, interdependent, and essential. They rest on the freedom to think and believe for ourselves, the right to shape society together, and the commitment to human rights across all frontiers #InternationalDayofDemocracy

‘We humans are part of nature, not separate from it.’

If you agree with this lovely humanist sentiment, you may enjoy The Little Book of Humanism!

#InternationalApostasyDay is a reminder that freedom of thought and belief is a basic human right. Oxford Humanists, together with Humanists UK’s Faith to Faithless programme, stand with those leaving religion, ensuring they are supported, celebrated, and never alone.
