Today marks the last day of the Miners’ Strike 40 yrs ago. On Saturday in Oxford, we co-hosted an event with @strikemap.bsky.social to celebrate the huge solidarity shown in Oxford and beyond linking these struggles to the present day through culture and the arts to remember our history as workers.

On this day 40 years ago, the miners’ strike came to an end. @strikemap.bsky.social and @oxfordtuc.bsky.social co-hosted an event on Saturday to commemorate this historic struggle, the solidarity that came out of Oxford, and the lessons we can bring with us in our ongoing struggle today.
