crazy that storing a piece of data that needs to be accessible from multiple sources is incredibly hard
at scale it means caching, which means latency and stale data, which means coordination and resolution

it's great to see that design engineering is a mix of both sides; many started programming websites and appealed to the intricacy of visual interfaces; others start from art and graphic design; we meet the web as a medium of expression

browser problem: scary amount of data access. need a centralized "browsing data" store managed by the OS, so you can swap out the browser frontend?
