Basara abhors the idea of using violence to solve his problems. On the rare occasion he is forced to, usually in order to protect someone, he takes absolutely no pleasure in it.

He might even be shocked and angry at himself (and whoever put him into that situation in the first place) afterwards.

Underneath his at-times abrasive attitude, Basara is a person with a big heart who loves nature, life and the universe at large. He rarely considers his own safety when rushing off to help others, though his skill as a pilot does help to alleviate the risks.

Basara doesn't particularly excel in social situations. Though generally well-meaning, at times he can come across as blunt and even a little rude to those who aren't accustomed to his mannerisms.

He finds it easier to convey more complex thoughts and feelings through song rather than conversation.
