yeah, not surprising. content with my steam deck for now; will wait for an upgraded model.
pokemon doesn't necessarily need a massive AAA budget but this goes a long way in helping to explain why they all come out so undercooked

like, what are we doing here

literally the biggest IP on the planet and they're budgeting the games like tubi movies
imagine a world where a powerful home console launches with tens of thousands of existing games, including PS and Xbox titles - in addition to offering the freedom of usability normally reserved for PC. priced (and marketed) right, it could clean up.
this is the perfect time for valve to take another shot at the home console market. SteamOS home boxes, marketed correctly, could disrupt Sony's dominance and give them real competition again. they need it - this has been the worst generation for PS studios/games, by far.

treyarch about to give COD players everything they've ever asked for

absolutely insane early BF6 numbers - and this is only steam
microsoft has consistently missed every possible easy lay-up for game pass growth. integrating the service into steam - even if they needed to add a 30% premium to cover the valve cut - would have led to explosive, widespread adoption on PC. instead, PC game pass is now effectively dead.
I still can't buy it 🤪
I'm still unable to purchase Silksong on Steam 🫠

I've never seen a release crash the platform like this
there are 3 options:

1. complete reboot with a new timeline/continuity
2. supporting character side stories in the main/kojima continuity
3. let it rest

there's really no story left to tell. solid snake is dead and kojima made the same big boss "missing link" game twice already.
What would you want next for the Metal Gear series?

Todd Howard, more than anything else, is a great salesman. He's a lot like Steve Jobs in that way. He can get on a stage and make all your worries disappear.

He dumped all his skill points into speech and has a 10 in charisma. Because of this, he'll keep getting away with it.
In your opinion, why was the 45 min Starfield direct so engaging?

I do think Black Ops 7 will outsell Battlefield 6 on brand loyalty alone; it's too entrenched in the culture to quickly death spiral. Having said that... the reactions should be worrying for MS. This model isn't going to work long-term anymore - change is needed
lost my potentially perfect pick sheet because i trusted a team from EU to win one series #msi2025 #lolesports
genuinely hilarious to see a large gaggle of lolicons being openly mad at Northernlion because he said he doesn't want to play Blue Archive because the reviews he saw on Steam were too horny for him
movies are not like games; they are not permanently locked to specific (and eventually unobtainable) hardware. there is no (good) reason to remake classic movies - they can still be enjoyed everywhere at any time on modern platforms.

current audience landscape and greedy studios share blame here.
should've done it sooner but I guess I'm gonna try to get through death stranding again before tuesday
episodes could use an extra 10-20 minutes to flesh out the investigative stuff. majority of them spend 90% of the 45m runtime showing the murder + establishing why Charlie is on the scene and then, because we have no time left, she very quickly arrives at a conclusion when we catch up to it.
Poker Face S2 thoughts so far:

they've dialed back on the superpower a bit, which is for the best. i still see it as Columbo-lite, not quite reaching the heights or the quality of its inspiration. natasha lyonne is perfect casting, though.
this doesn't matter. whether they could or couldn't is irrelevant when it's made clear that they don't have the manpower or the infrastructure necessary to distribute it. making it is only step 1.

(if anyone is interested in playing it and wasn't able to get a copy from LRG, I have dumped the ROM)
A new Shantae game in 2025??
managed to snag one from target shortly after 12AM. it was definitely a bumpy process, but it seems like some people had even more issues than i did. hope you all can get an order in somewhere!
it's a great day to watch Conclave if you haven't seen it yet
first part of Blue Prince done 🥳

man, what a game this is
while i generally agree with the article's title and premise.... Oblivion is 20 years old. it doesn't qualify as "recent". and while i also agree that the original is still more than fine and playable, we all know that it's hard - if not impossible - to get younger people to play "old" games.
