For day 14 of #Lexember, I'm starting with the Conworkshop prompt for once to let my ideas for Miles' prompt stew a bit. The CWS prompt is "Things you would NOT want to receive for your birthday", so time to add some common words that are kinda gross to #Lasat.

Today's #Lexember prompt from @conlangery.com was "A word for an animal sense/sense organ". I'm pretty sure #Lasat speakers would have whiskers - most non-great ape mammals do. On the other hand, they're not native to earth, so don't share the whiskered common ancestor.

Day 12 of #Lasat #Lexember, and @conlangery.com 's prompt was "A word for flight-related anatomy". I was convinced I had a word for "wing" already, but my dictionary says otherwise.

Day 11 of #Lasat #Lexember! The prompt from @conlangery.com was "a specific type of tooth". I saw the opportunity for three good ones. That consonant cluster in kusvrahdz is a mouthful - pun intended.

Today's #Lexember prompt from @conlangery.com was "an animal weapon". I ended up with three for #Lasat! Suprisingly, the hardest was elchet, "venom".

For @conlangery.com's prompt "Insect parts", 2 metaphorical extensions for #Lasat #Lexember:
jokarn /d͡ʒo.kaɹn/ n. thorax
Extended from jokarn, torso; from karn /kaɹn/ n. body. The source of jo- is unknown.
ozye /oz.je/ n. abdomen (of an insect). Extended from ozye, belly (mammal). A priori.

Day 8 of #Lasat #Lexember, to fill @dedalvs.bsky.social 's prompt of "Something to eat on". In the same vein as dengat from a previous day:
bemgat /bem.gat/ n. plate, dish, saucer
from bem /bem/ n. leaf, frond and gati /ga.ti/ n. food
Historically, Lasat speakers would eat off broad leaves.

Give it up for day 7 of #Lasat #Lexember! First, to fill @dedalvs.bsky.social's prompt for "Something to drink with", we have:
denrom /den.ɹom/ n. cup
from denvo /den.vo/ n. jug, vase, bottle and rom /ɹom/ n. water
December 7, 2025 at 9:36 PM
First #Lasat #Lexember prompt fill for day 6 is from r/conlangs, "Ceramics".
dhawchel /ðo:.t͡ʃel/ n. clay, mud
from dhawlir /ðo:.liɹ/ v. to create or build and chelo /t͡ʃe.lo/ n. soil, dirt
puldhawch /pul.ðo:t͡ʃ/ n. (potter's) wheel
from pulla /pul.la/ v. to spin or rotate and dhawchel (above).
December 6, 2025 at 5:04 PM
Day 5 of #Lasat #Lexember, following @dedalvs.bsky.social 's prompt "Something to cook with".
dengat /den.gat/ n. (cooking) pot, bowl
from denvo /den.vo/ n. jug, container and gati /ga.ti/ n. food
This took me down a cooking items rabbit hole, I have a bunch more gaps I want to fill now...
December 5, 2025 at 10:54 PM
Day 4 of #Lasat #Lexember, a twofer for @quothalinguist.bsky.social 's prompt "something that adds flavour":
kazre /kaz.re/ n. spice, especially chili
from a previous lang, Bahatla, originally kasreke "stormy"
tumbem /tum.bem/ n. herb
from tuma /tu.ma/ v. to season or flavour and bem /bem/ n. leaf
December 4, 2025 at 9:27 PM
#Lasat #Lexember day 3. My first prompt fill of the day is for ConWorkShop's "Homemaking verbs". jagsefa /d͡ʒag.se.fa/ v. to decorate, to embellish
from jagar /d͡ʒa.gaɹ/ v. to set up, to organise and sefko /sef.ko/ adj. beautiful, gorgeous
This one feels quite seasonal, very "deck the halls"....
December 3, 2025 at 2:47 PM
#Lasat #Lexember day 2, to fill @quothalinguist.bsky.social's prompt - "A way of making food". Today I have a very important step in many meals:
tuma /tu.ma/ v. to season, to add salt or flavouring
Derived from itum /i.tum/ n. salt.
December 2, 2025 at 11:48 PM
Another #Lasat #Lexember prompt fill for day 1: Conworkshop's prompt for today is Baking ingredients.
damo /da.mo/ n. milk (of any mammal)
This word is a new root as I felt that it would be very important culturally.
For #Lasat #Lexember, I am filling... whichever prompts I vibe with/have the time for. Today, I'm going with the lovely @quothalinguist.bsky.social's prompt of a word for preparing food.
rolofa /ɹo.lo.fa/ v. to boil or bubble
From rom, "water", and lofa, "to shake, tremble".
More to come...?

three years ago, the Queen passed away on my brother's birthday (8th Sept) and was buried on mine (19th Sept).

now, i'm not implying or suggesting anything in particular. but you know what would be really funny -

cost of updating passport: £105
cost of a letter from a doctor using the specific phrase that my gender transition is "likely to be permanent", without which they won't update my passport (even though i've provided supporting letters from other doctors): £60

it's trans day of visibility so, hi. hello. i am a trans man, he/him.

everyone should get the opportunity to express their gender.
for me, being a man and taking testosterone to bring me closer to my masculinity is life saving.
