Is there an intersection in #montreal you'd like to see totally reworked?

Berri & De Maisonneuve is top of my wishlist.

Sugary drink taxes will be pretty standard in a decade. Shame to see #newfoundland backsliding after leading the country on it.

Given how much money the feds contribute to healthcare, it seems well within their right to "sweeten" healthcare funding […]

@paige man, the breakfast club at Eleanor’s school is the most adorable experience. I volunteer every couple of weeks making toast for the kids and such. It’s great for the kids but it’s also really nice for the parents who volunteer because you get to meet everyone that your kids interact with […]

Two pieces of excellent news!
I ran a trial of a breakfast program years ago. The feedback was so positive, everyone LOVED it!
It didn't just help with concentration, it increased attendance for kids from rough homes with empty pantries. The food at school became a major incentive to come to […]

This book rules. A subject I’ve been obsessed with for years. If I ever get back to making YouTube videos again this’ll save me a ton of time compiling information.

Thanks @dawn for the recommendation.

What are we going to do about connecting #montreal Metropolitan Airport with transit when the new terminal opens?
This has been coming for years, the exo runs right to it but I bet the new #porter terminal opens to the exact same commuter oriented service with just a few trains a day.
Just as we […]

I went out in Léry this weekend for a BBQ in a new development and was shocked that there were no sidewalks directly opposite the school.
How is it still legal in #Québec to build housing developments without pedestrian infrastructure?

Jeeze premium TV these days could do with some fan edits.
So much filler.
Anyone remember Goku gathering the Spirit Bomb in Dragon Ball Z? That's the vibe that a minute of "character thinking out window" each episode gives me.

Wonder what next week’s travesty will be? Probably not this, but like clockwork it’ll be something.

I thought the mayor we had growing up was as weird as #invercargill could manage.

Apparently I missed an even stranger era!

Thought I would check in and see how the small town I went to high school in is doing…
Yeah, it’s that small.
A news article discusses Invercargill Mayor Nobby Clark's lack of support for his brother's unexpected bid for mayoral office. The image features Nobby Clark in a casual outfit, with other people visible in the background.

The thing that strikes me about the doppelgänger subreddit is how NO-ONE actually looks that much like anyone else in the world, even though there are billions of us.

End of life grid storage has always seemed like a game changer to me. Basically, prior to recycling an EV battery, you use it as grid storage for 5-10 years.
We'll know in a couple of years if the approach works. I'm just worried after following a few projects for a while that its an idea that […]

@evan I figure there's no harm in putting a few nights a year into a plan considering the stakes.

My list so far:
- Freezing the bank accounts and assets of a large number of people I agree with.
- An election result being overturned by force.
- A term limit increase pushed by a strongman.
- The banning of corrective mechanisms (Banning electoral reform, news outlets, alternative political […]

Throughout history the majority of people do not try to pack-up and leave until it's too late.
Two prudent things you can do:
1. Write a list of redlines for when you'd immigrate.
2. Research the answer to questions like "Where will I go?" and "How do I get my money/family out?" etc.
