🇫🇮10 October Finnish Flag Day for Aleksis Kivi and Finnish Literature.
Aleksis Kivi(b. Alexis Stenvall, 1834 - 1872) wrote the first significant novel in the Finnish language, Seitsemän veljestä (Seven Brothers), published in 1870.
Kivi is regarded as the national writer of Finland.🇫🇮

It was partly political decision. The purchase was born in a few days without testing the aircraft, and pilots sent to USSR learned about the aircraft only when there. USSR's offer to sell MiG-21s was surprising, the type was new and even the satellite states at the time hadn't yet received it.

There is a genuine MiG-21BIS on the roof of the Verkkokauppa. com store in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki. The aircraft were acquired by the Finnish Air Force from the Soviet Union in various versions starting in 1963, and were in service in Finland until 1998. (Tuula Sipilä 2024)
