I’m Bill (he/him, 🏳️‍🌈) and I’m a cat dad, occasional freelance TTRPG scenario author, and miniature painter. I like metal figures over plastic.
Everyone’s sleeping on the real best Christmas movie of the 80s.

The carnivorous plants rooms were a little barren (not terribly surprising for December in Buffalo, even in a hothouse) but look at these adorable Nepenthes!

Gina and I went to “Pointsettias After Dark” at the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens tonight! Incredible variety of colors all lit by Christmas lights. Worth the long drive through the city!

Resharing for #SelfPromoSaturday! Adventurers caught between two wealthy art collectors, in a system neutral #ttrpg scenario - play it in #runequest, #DnD, #SavageWorlds or any other system you prefer!
Another little bit of #selfpromo: @forgeofice.bsky.social let me play in the sandbox of his "Bronze Age Mediterranean Smorgasbord with Dinosaurs" world of Azor and I turned in an Oceans 11-style heist adventure: reverse-ettin-games.itch.io/the-twin-hea...

Brought my car in for an oil change and this is the first time I’ve ever seen Pep Boys’ waiting area be standing room only. I might be here for a bit.

A heart-felt thank you to the anonymous person who just left star-ratings for 34 (!) of our books on DriveThruRPG.

As any small publisher will tell you feedback in the form of reviews and ratings is AMAZINGLY helpful. So if you ever have time to do either, you will be doing someone a big favour.

Maria is unimpressed with the monster in front of her.

I think I'm almost done with this gribbly; I think just highlighting the spikes on its back and painting/flocking the base and I'm calling it done.

Maria is from Hasslefree Miniatures, the monster's a 3D print.

Everyone should check out Andrew Macdonald's Famhairean Kickstarter. I've been itching to get ahold of them since he showed me the greens in Summer 2024. The love he pours into those terrain shots too.

Woke up achey and feeling like a hamster had spent the night nesting in my throat. I'm never "oh woe is me, man-flu carries me to an early grave" - just the opposite, but Gina forced me to submit to her making me lemon ginger tea in the color-changing dinosaur mug.

Imposter syndrome is canceled for all writers, effective immediately.
hands down my favorite line from a book that provides no value add to the written word besides being, possibly, the most narcissistic memoir ever put to paper.

Gina and I have been working our way through @taskmaster.tv from the beginning, an episode a night. We’re in Series 5 now and she is simultaneously terrified and in awe of Sally Phillips, who manages to look sweet and innocent while being an absolute gremlin of a contestant.

A year ago he was living on the streets, eating garbage and fighting other cats.

Now he yells at me to sprinkle kibble on his wet food as garnish before he’ll eat it, and demands his bed be pushed right into the corner by the window.

Starting on the next monster for my Majestic 13 campaign. Bobby Dipshit says “you ain’t that bad - I worked a season at Coney Island!”

Not much miniatures posting the past few days but I’m still painting.

I think if you have chronic pain in any form, it’s important to not get mad at yourself for being tired. It is genuinely not your fault. You’re always hurting, and it’s constantly stressing your brain out and sapping your energy. You’re doing the best you can, and that is enough. ❤️

I’m real bad about treating compliments like they’re written in sand and my mistakes and shortcomings are carved in basalt, but four people told me that my play reports inspired them to buy an indie game and two people asked for painting tips this week. Holding on to this feeling and not letting go
