Bit of a dark ages theme, finished the shield transom some Vikings and finished another 9 Irish for my pillage warband. Not too keen on how the red turned out, but 3 out of 53 will break up a sea of brown & green!

Not much hobby stuff this weekend. Alcohol and gigs intervened. Did manage an hour putting together some MDF RUB inserts for the 9L boxes now arriving tomorrow.
Have to remove a section on the top layer to allow tall bases (those with flags etc.) to fit...

I’ve got 3 battalions of Perry Napoleonic Ottomans to paint so thought I’d try 3 different schemes last night to see how they looked.

Tried painting tartan tonight. looks ok for the tabletop. I’m not happy with the red lines on the socks, how bloody hard to paint! The kilt is “ok” the thin lines are difficult to get right, but I’ve got 5 more from the pack to practice on! Wont be painting battalions of them!

Well, yesterday was quite successful day painting wise. I also think I may have set myself a new daily record as well 🤔
Half of my Irish warband done, 26 Irish warriors with spears, undercoated, painted, varnished and based in a day. Thats going some even for me!!

I started this post a week ago! Lots been going on and as ever each time I login to get the blog moving again something happens to distract... Anyway...a diversion... Once I'd finished the last Ottoman figures I was at a bit of a loss for what to do next. I'm still pondering a 2026 Plan so in an attempt to aid that I thought I'd have a little tidy.
