i finally reached r-1000 this attempt and went beyond to r-1200+ then died to tlimbo (again).
only ~2450 rooms left to go before I beat this mode :D

yeah this time I didn't go any further than r-912 infact I went BACK in progress to like r-850+.
I'm like arlyn in this mode's ending, stuck in hell for eternity.
