Dani raises up their arm, and Trent leans in hesitantly for a quick smell. "Er, smells fine to me?" he notes. "You're smelling nice" Dani says, lowering their arm and making a note not to bother showering. Their eyes pass over Trent's body. "is that-" They hesitate. Peering in close, they give a sly look up. "that's... Coral's bodywash, innit?" they ask, sniffing. "Well, yeah" Trent says, looking down over the scarf around his neck, "I dinnae wanna steal yours..."
Suddenly, Dani presses their nose up against Trent's face. "Oh? Like how you stole this?" they say, tugging Trent close using THEIR scarf.

Dani whips around and peers with fierce curiosity at Coral. He gives an innocent shrug in response. Dani continues with a more questioning look, as if to ask the obvious, to which Coral answers with a firm, saucy nod. Dani seems satisfied, and gestures something back with a look. Coral knowingly walks away with a cheeky grin and a wave. Trent is still busy sitting up off the floor. "Where's coral going?" He asks. "Don't worry about it, Dani assures him, raising an arm. "Hey, do my pits stink?"

"Sorry to interrupt you, but- look who's here!" Coral says, posing. "Wahey! Didn't see you walk in, sunshine!" Dani spouts, seeing the soft lad they landed on blushing back at them. "After all that fuss, I wasn't expecting to see you for another month at least!" They fidget into a comfier position on top of Trent's body. "What's the occasion?"
"Well, I er..." Trent stammers nervously. "I wanted to, uhhh, Hang out a bit? with you?" Dani looks comfy, if unconvinced. Coral kneels behind them, smiling at Trent through narrowed eyes. "Hang out, huh." Dani ponders.

Dani, grabbing Coral's shoulder, slams their face into his for a biiiig sloppy kiss. Coral's taken by surprise and is really getting into it tongues and all, though he quickly notes that Trent, who has gone unnoticed by Dani, is looking a little awkward with no snogging partner of his own.
Thinking quick on his feet, Coral readjusts the smooch so that he's the one leaning into it, pushing Dani along the floor towards the alarmed and unprepared Bunny, and with a loving shove he launches them directly into Trent's big soft chest. They smash together, knocking both to the floor and successfully resolving that awkward situation.

Over at the door, we see Trent stepping in. "I thought an office gym would be swish, but this is kinda grotty" He thinks, unimpressed. Dani's too busy grumbling at Coral to notice.
"soooo, how's work been going?" He asks them. They sort of gurgle in response. "That bad, huh?" Coral asks, leaning over and gently admiring Dani's neck as they mumble. "Blegh. sick of these endless problems." They sit up. "You got any problems I could help out with?" Coral asks, cheekily caressing Dani's collarbone.
Dani ponders. Their body slumps and they seem to enter a meditative state. The mundane trivialities of the modern world, with all its bureaucracy, schedules and responsibility seems to fade from their mind, as a more primal, fundamental nature gradually takes hold. They whip around and snatch Coral's waist like a fuckin raptor or some shit. "Yes."

Dani slumps back onto a workout bench. They're in a small basement gym surrounded by scattered equipment. like most office facilities, it's not awful, but it's not particularly nice either. They doze off bleary eyed for a moment, before a shadow passes over them and they open their eyes. It's Coral. He looms above, looking kind of angelic in the harsh light. "Heya~"

We see a gloved fist impact a punching bag. Then again. The punching bag is then pulverised with an incredibly powerful and undisciplined kick from Dani, who we see was wearing the mma gloves, as well as some loose shorts, short leggings, and a baggy tank top that's fighting for its life (and failing) to prevent nipslips.
Dani catches their breath for a moment with their head on the bag, and as the clock passes half 11pm, they collapse back in exhaustion. "council BAAASSSTAAARDSSSS...."

Got the chance to work on another lovely game by Poppy! Lots of hunting through domestic clutter this time so I had to really go in on environments. Refining the approach I used in Leadwood to get more out of minimal lighting has been fun

A little study with lots of interesting details you could click on and interact with if you were playing the game

A kitchen with a grumpy deer in you could probably chat to and cheer up if you were playing the game

A sunny garden with a smoking fox lady who you could definitely irritate by speaking french at if you play the game for yourself
