Today, I received my first ever payment for my writing. A poem to be published in an anthology, coming in September.

I never much enjoyed having a birthday on the winter solstice, until my friend @deannbell.bsky.social reminded me that it's the day light comes back into the world. Since then, I've felt more connected to myself & the yuletide season.
