L’image est une page manuscrite d’un registre financier datant de 1780, provenant du journal des finances sous le règne de Louis XVI. Elle est soigneusement rédigée à l’encre brune sur un papier jauni par le temps. En haut à gauche, des rubans bleus attachent les pages du registre.
Le document est divisé en plusieurs colonnes avec des entrées détaillant les recettes et les dépenses. Les chiffres sont alignés et soigneusement notés, témoignant d’une comptabilité rigoureuse. On y trouve des mentions de différentes sources de revenus, comme des impôts ou des transactions commerciales, et des dépenses variées, notamment pour des fournitures militaires ou des événements royaux.
Au centre de la page, un tampon rouge indique « ARCHIVES NATIONALES ».
L'écriture est fine et élégante, caractéristique des manuscrits administratifs du XVIIIe siècle. La page montre des traces de manipulation et de vieillissement, témoignant de son ancienneté et de son importance historique.
