team no.1: Team Parappa Town (based on team japan)
As the name indicate, the members of the group all originated (or live) in Parappa town! each member is based of either one or so many characters from KOF

Parappa Rappa: Based off Kyo in term of fighting style n lore, and Shingi in the blue theme and personality
Priestess Sunny: Based off various characters.. Yuki for the obvious love interest role, Chizuru for being another Sacred treasure fighter and Nakaroro for the priestess role. I gave her water ability as it makes sense. she a flower. plus, she can still do those insane chizuru dumblicates with it
Master PJ: Based of Goro in literally everything, except having too much cool nerves it's actually insane. he also puts on headphones when he fights.

new engine is running laps around my old one already

i have yet to add ramona's sprites + finish kitsuo's expressions but this is pretty good so far

my next step after all the bugs are worked out is to start writing the story, i dont think branching paths were even possible in the old engine

added ramona, found a tutorial for the blinking lights in the bottom right. dialogue system works perfectly so far. i just have to add smooth fade in/out to the sprites, that would make everything look cleaner. the background and text noises are placeholders.
