Environmental factors, such as land cover, affect the dynamics of parasites. Angiostrongylus daskalovi, lungworm of badgers, is influenced through its intermediate hosts (snails & slugs). More information at www.mdpi.com/2076-0817/10...

Just published in TBED. A Hungarian study focused on tick species and their tick-borne pathogens on European badgers. The findings highlight the importance of monitoring peri-urban and urban badgers as hosts of ticks and tick-borne pathogens.
