Shocking!
🚨 In Nov., Trump's Labor Dept. lowered the minimum wage for foreign farmworkers.

A month later, Trump's winery filed to hire 36 foreign, temporary workers.

The rate? Almost $2/hour less than in 2025.

Trump Vineyard Seeks To Hire Foreign Workers At Lower Wages
Records show the Trump Organization has requested over 2,000 foreign workers since 2008. Its latest request seeks a $13.90 hourly wage—the lowest the winery has offered since 2021.

It's easy for news outlets to adopt the catchphrases of political actors, but doing so normalizes them without critique. To think that there is an overarching philosophy or doctrine behind Trump's actions is absurd. He's little more than a baby crying to be fed.

President Goodbrain can't remember what he said five days ago.
Q: “You said you would have no problem with releasing the full video of that strike on September 2nd.”

Trump: “I didn’t say that. You said that. I didn’t say that. This is ABC fake news.”

Trump on Dec. 3: “Whatever they have, we’d certainly release. No problem.”

Humanity’s principal conflict at this moment in history is not GOP v Dems or despots v democrats but rather the rich v everyone else.

All Kimberley-Clark needs to do is send Trump $16 million and he'll stop talking smack about Tylenol. In fact, he'll probably call it a miracle drug, on par with Ivermectin.

Would be a shame that we spent 250 years building the greatest country on earth only to have a petulant child destroy it because somebody was mean to him.

This frames the issue as political strategy -- a game to win or lose --- but it's really about power and whether Trump sending National Guard is legal. Headline writers take note.

No point in repeating this claim unless you back it up with, “How so?”

I do wish newsfolk would stop calling it the "art of the deal" and just say what it is: extortion.

This is how "Team Meritocracy" wants the world to operate: "Hire my buddy's kid!" DEI for the rich.

Whether you support DEI or not, the caving of private companies is among the greatest collective acts of cowardice in recent times. Especially galling when media companies, like Gannett, which should defend free speech, self-censor out of self-interest. www.niemanlab.org/2025/04/gann...
Gannett will stop publishing diversity information, citing Trump’s executive order
The company also removed mentions of "diversity" from its corporate site.

Mr. President, what are five things you did this week to further democracy?

I honestly wonder how much creativity is lost in having to constantly authenticate and locate particular tools in so-called "productivity" suites (I'm talking about you, Microsoft).

What if a social media platform were owned by a billionaire head of a country who was using his platform to propagandize the platform's users in support of his plan to use military force to invade other countries. Would we also make a law to force divestment?

Completed the peaceful transition of power from "there" to here.

From here on I plan to pay only 1/3 of my financial obligations, citing the New York appeals court.

All part of the free media that news media have been giving Trump for the last decade. The above-the-fold coverage suggests that these are serious thoughts of a serious person. You should make him buy ads. www.nytimes.com/2024/02/24/u...
