I feel like we all know each other from The Other App, but just in case, I’m Patricia.

- Irish, she/her, yapper
- supporter of Munster Rugby (it’s terminal)
- watcher of a lot of (horror) movies
- talker on rugby podcasts. If you’re confused as to why people ask me to do this, get in line
What a time to be alive.

Was in the middle of Tesco when I found out that Gibson-Park isn’t playing today and I legitimately hit this pose in the milk aisle

For a team who have been in survival mode since round 2 and had nothing left- to go and give it everything, against the Springboks, for 100 minutes plus all the time they took cheating at the end? Special stuff, special team.

Wouldn’t have it any other way, not even the easy way. Until next season💔

As someone who sort of wanted Saints to win today kind of, I’m gutted after that final. But as someone who loves crazy rugby games, great day for the parish.

I’ve never been to the Millenium before, what a place. Wales should be fucking ashamed at wasting this atmosphere by being utter dogshit.

They just did a pitchside interview with Paddy Jackson before the Challenge Cup final, and I was the only one in the stadium who booed. Game’s gone

Okay, let's talk a bit about my book! I've said a few times that it's about Rome but Not Like That – what do I mean?

The popular idea of ancient Rome is incredibly powerful – ask 100 people to summon up an image of ancient Rome and I bet most could and also that their ideas would be quite similar.

Friday night games in Thomond Park are a nightmare as someone living in not-Limerick, but I decided last minute that I couldn’t not travel to cheer for POM, Murray, and Archer one last time.

5:30am start to be in Limerick in time to start work. Wasn’t home until after 1am. Worth it every time.❤️‍🔥

Getting the chance to go back in time but instead of seeing an iconic part of history or stopping something terrible from happening, just putting a tenner on a Northampton v Bordeaux final

Spending a huge amount of money on signing Jordie Barrett specifically for the Heineken Cup knockouts but then not making it to the Heineken Cup final. Much to think about, I’m sure Leinster have some sort of a master plan here

Great weekend for making you wonder why the fuck you bother with this stupid fucking sport anyway

Not something I ever thought I would say, but I really hope we get to hear Johnny Sexton’s thoughts and opinions today

From “it’s so over” to “we’re so back” in the space of literally 2 minutes

The most special of special days*. This team are everything and more🤍

(*My heart, liver, and bank account might disagree)

Omw to La Rochelle, does anyone know if there’s anything cool happening there

Can’t help but wonder how old I’ll be by the next time Wales win a rugby game. The things I’ll have achieved, the people I’ll have met, the life I’ll be living

Can’t even lose 16 games in a row anymore. Because of woke

Ireland with Jack Crowley at 10: beat France in France, win 6 Nations

Ireland without Jack Crowley at 10: pumped at home by France, lose 6 Nations

I was out on a work do last night and ended up talking rugby (specifically Munster, shock horror) with a new guy on my team. After a while he hit me with a “hang on, do I recognise you from posting on Twitter?”

I like my job, so it’s a shame that I now have to quit with immediate effect

Contrary to popular belief, I’ve actually never even liked Munster Rugby

Not sure I’m ready to face into an era of Munster Rugby without these two in it. So delighted for both of them (Healy as well tbf) that they get to go out on their own terms.

Scottish Rugby can finally rest easy without their annual O’Mahony-ing looming over them.

I wish there was a movie I could watch to further understand what happens when the Pope dies
Pope Francis is in critical condition after suffering “a long asthmatic respiratory crisis” this morning, the Vatican announced.

I can't quite believe I'm saying this but: I wrote a book! And it's being published this May!

It's about Rome, its enduring appeal, the many different ways it has been interpreted, and how understanding this helps us see both the past and the world today more clearly.

A lot of 6 Nations left to play, but if France (or Scotland I guess technically) can beat Ireland, we could get a proper Super Saturday- one that goes down to points difference and bonus points and winning margins. It feels like forever since we’ve had that, I want it so so badly
