I think selling EA to the Saudies is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things - especially compared to the TikTok shenanigans. Gaming is so much more diverse than any other media industry. As long as Steam stays independent. I can not overstate how hard I pray for Gabens health.

I love Marc Galeotti & his harsh reality checks: sure, Western ground troops, meaningful, credible & sustainable, I don’t see that. But denying the effect of AirOps just based on economics (drones vs missile cost) is not convincing. As Ukraine evolved, NATO would also evolve once it’s focused

It's very likely that the murder itself had no ideological basis, but was just an act of offline shitposting.

Doesn’t have to be all of Ukraine. If NATO takes over a part, Ukraine can concentrate in the rest. Even a 200 mile zone along nato borders would help. Call it buffer zone. If Russia tests it with Pilots, be like Turkey.

I don’t see meaningful and effective western troop deployments happening without the US. So it won’t happen. The discussion is a waste of time.
They should start with what actually possible. Close the Ukrainian sky to Russia. You can do that from bases outside Ukraine. Huge help, low risk.
