It’s a sad state of affairs when our Justice Department works less well than that of a third world Latin American country.
I do blame Garland, but also the fact that the wealthy are able to gum up the works.

This is the 16th fatality in pedestrian/driver collisions this year. Does anyone at City Hall care or are we too busy locking up garbage cans?
Getting word that the pedestrian hit by a driver at Osborne and Roslyn last week has died.

The city of Winnipeg doesn't have the money (read political will) to make our streets safer. Maybe they have money for lawsuits. Stop killing our pedestrians.
Roslyn and Osborne is a deadly intersection because it is built to move cars through it quickly. Every design decision has been made for the convenience of drivers, not safety for the people like Rosalie who lived there.
Annnnd WPS just posted the release:

The people want cargo bikes.

Help us ensure we have the resources to grow @mplscargobikelibrary.com sustainably in 2026!
If you're in a position to be able to donate, please consider supporting our Give to the Max Day fundraiser.

Any amount helps as we work to scale our program in 2026. Our fleet is at least 4x larger than it was in spring of 2025, requiring more $ for secure bike storage, bike insurance & repairs.
Support the Mpls Cargo Bike Library on GiveMN
Park Tool is matching all donations up to $5,000! Help BikeMN reach our $15,000 goal.

Imagine living in a country that thinks like this “You can’t just build a neighbourhood and then figure out how people will get to and from it,” “We have to develop the housing plans and collaborate with the transport sector at the same time. @modacitylife.comzagdaily.com/trends/dutch...

The city skipped adding any bike infrastructure when they redid Selkirk a couple years ago, in favour of keeping this a high-speed, high-traffic corridor for people who live further out.
