I don't know why Jeffries said he didn't understand what this man said. I understand and I stand by what he said. Jeffries is playing politics here.
I think @wajali.bsky.social was clear. He acknowledges the current fight, but asks @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social to lead on the long term goal of abolishing ICE. I don’t understand the leader’s reticence on that very simple, and frankly moderate position.

With Democrats in our Congress now running for STATE positions, like Governor (California, Texas, Minnesota), are we weakening our hold on Congress as Democrats by doing that? We need to strengthen our hold there. Not bail out for State offices.
