Infopro, currently working on an NHS EPR, but this is mostly music, theatre, arts, Sheffield, cats & a bit of leftish politics...

Also, @Sheffiness on IG for anyone who likes fuzzy phone gig pics

I made a starter pack - mainly to see how it works - comprising some of my music picks - artists and labels - indie with a UK flavour...

I also have a much longer list via my profile page, with loads of additional music related accounts on it.

CMAT, live in Sheffield last night.

A fantastic feel good show, high energy, great singalong tunes, and such an incredible stage presence. Loved it!

Apparently, after today's budget, I'll be £6.25 a year worse off

Twas always thus... single person, no kids & no major vices

Of course, the calcs don't take into account cost of living factors or below inflation public sector pay increases, but that's fine.

No drama. No hard working family...

Tonight's gig is CMAT at the Octagon (sold out)

Should be enormous fun!

I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

Much less helpful than Clippy tbh
I think AI might have been a bit... overhyped.
It's just Clippy on steroids and even more annoying.

Finally got hearing aids... jeez, my keyboard sounds deafening this morning!

Have a gig later too. Cannot comprehend how that's going to feel.

As an older adult this does not surprise me. My brain does not require that level of 'always on', constant motion.

One of the joys of BlueSky is there are no reels, and I can decide if I want to play a video.

I crave an off setting for video content on Instagram too.

This is fascinating! Apparently your brain hears and responds to music even when anaesthetised.

This is such a good read. I was not a Stone Roses fan whilst they were in their prime, and came to know of Mani through Primal Scream. I saw him play with them a few times (that's a story for another day)... anyway so much of this resonates, except I've never tried to play bass.

I have a big soft spot for Paul Heaton, and his various incarnations, & especially his approach to fair ticket pricing.

This song is a fan favourite and I sang along to it with c. 20k folks at his Bramall Lane gig earlier this year, alongside highlights from the rest of his extensive back catalogue

Always try to see the support act folks...

Some great ones I've seen this year:

- Casino
- She Drew The Gun
- Joshua Idehen
- The Hanging Stars
- The Pill
- Ronboy
- Michele Stodart
- Moonchild Sanelly
- Nadine Shah
- Gabrielle Sey

And no doubt, more to come before Xmas...
Brilliant new music is out there waiting to be discovered - we’re talking to an incredible new upcoming band, hoping they can support @thecharlatans on our April / May dates. Fingers crossed we can make it work. News soon

The Mojo cover CD is excellent this month. I mean I guess it should be, as a 'best of', but nicely curated selection and sequencing too.

Discovered a couple of new (to me) artists too.

CD packaging.... is it just me, or does everyone else feel the pain of differently sized and formatted cardboard sleeves?

Whilst I'm happy we're using less plastic these days, just make them all the same size so I can store them easily!

These 3 that I got this week demonstrate the problem...
