Sad to hear we’ve lost Pauline Collins. A cracking actress. RIP

113 years since my Grandad was born on the 5th of November 1912.
He was a cracking gentleman from whom I inherited the majority of my good points.
It’s been 33 years since he died but I still miss him. He was brill. The perfect Grandad.

As it’s spooky season, here are some demons from an 18th century demonology book for you. I’m particularly fond of number 4 who has sea monsters coming out of their fanny.
You’re welcome.

A cracking day yesterday in an Oxfordshire theatre (“plots have I laid” etc) then home, via a wonderful pet shop and the most exciting voicemail I’ve ever had, to Stan who was slightly intimidated by his new bone but soon got to grips with it.

Yet more attempts at cultural vandalism as Badenoch decides the Humanities are worthless.
Wanting to stop any adult from studying whatever they wish, considering they’re paying for it, is sign of a society in trouble.

Today my mate told me that she spent years thinking that smh meant “shag my hole” and I nearly crashed the car. After consideration, I prefer her version can’t lie

I hope you’ve all seen the #CameraPorn during the first ep of Object Z? Starts with a CU of the inside, dollys back as the hatch is replaced then you get a lovely reveal of the full thing. Beautiful stuff. #ObjectZ #Ffantaface

Might start a Callan rewatch. It’s very good, isn’t it?

Woke up from a dream excited and thought to scribble an idea down.
No pen.
So I put the laptop on to jot down a few lines and, two hours later, I’ve written six pages I’m very happy with and cleaned the kitchen.
This is all rather lovely.
Also, #Ffantaface.

🥳It's 358 years since #SamuelPepys shat in a fireplace:

"I to bed and in the night was mightily troubled with a looseness (I suppose from some fresh damp linen that I put on) and was forced to rise and shit in the chimney twice; and so to bed and was very well again."🎉

Bugger. That’s a shame. #JohnStapleton was an excellent broadcaster. A safe pair of hands in the studio. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

This really is a bloody shame, and it’s sad to see that the UK isn’t alone when it comes to demolishing its studio spaces.

I think everything would be better if all 24 hour news stations were closed down and we went back to the 5.40 Early Evening and News At Ten on the _third_ channel and The 9 O’Clock News on BBC1 preceded by “and now, let’s go Nationwide.”
Everything, from the titles onward, was better…
