I’m not against paying taxes to support society, but how is it fair to tax something as volatile as Bitcoin? One year it’s worth €100k, the next €25k, yet you still pay tax on “wealth” you don’t have. Why is this the case in the Netherlands @belastingdienst.bsky.social?

Am I the only one who never knows where I am when someone asks, “Where are you driving?” I’ll be on some random highway. Meanwhile, with barely any info, others go, “Ah, the A16, hectometer post 32.1, between this city and that one!” Why do they know this?
