Building worlds you never want to escape, not beautiful prisons called businesses

Helping the weird ones profit from their obsessions

You can't build a real business if you're not actually building something.

Doesn't matter how many courses you buy or systems you set up.

If you're not actively creating, you're just pretending.

Most people build gift shops before they build a world worth visiting.

Disney got it right - create something people want to live in first.

The sales happen naturally when people never want to leave.

If you put a redwood seed into a pot you bought from Target, you won’t get the mighty redwood you hoped for.

But there is nothing wrong with the seed.

The seed succumbs to its environment.

Nobody tells you that the hardest part of business isn't finding the right strategy.

It's unlearning all the marketing BS you've absorbed from watching other people try to look successful online.

ADHD and 15+ years of being my own boss.

I can't imagine working for someone else again unless something catastrophic happened.

Starting on a new platform is always interesting because unless you bring over a good-size audience then you're starting from the basics.

Which means you have to be social to be seen.

In my case, it means having to find the content that resonates with me which can be a challenge.

Your "authentic" marketing is probably making Machiavelli roll in his grave.

Everyone knows him as the "better to be feared than loved" guy.

But they miss what he was really writing about - how to lead when you're surrounded by beautiful lies.

Most people are building sand castles when they should be building worlds.

You see it everywhere.

"Proven" formulas.
Growth hacks.
Perfect business models that look stable until the tiniest wave hits.

Then it all washes away.

Da Vinci studied birds to understand machines.

Tesla saw his inventions in lightning storms.

Your 'random' connections aren't random.

They're your mind building bridges others can't even see.

Most people create content that vanishes into the void.

Worldbuilders? We build universes that pull people in and make them want to stay.

Your content shouldn't just get engagement - it should build belief.

Stop posting. Start building.

Let me tell you something about being a solopreneur that most people won't tell you - it's not about hustling 24/7 or building some massive empire.

It's about building a world you never want to escape from.

It's about turning your weird obsessions into businesses that light you up.

I spent 20 years stressing about creating "original" content only to realize the Romans figured this out 2,000 years ago.

They had this concept called "spolia."

Instead of starting from scratch, they'd grab columns, statues, and decorative pieces from old temples and build them into new ones.

Your past doesn't exist.

Not metaphorically. Literally.

Science shows your brain reconstructs memories every time you access them.

Adding details. Dropping others. Creating fiction from what you think is fact.

But here's the real mind-bender...

"Normal never changed the world."

These words from Nietzsche exploded everything I thought I knew about success.

"You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star."

When Einstein first presented his theory of relativity, most of the scientific community thought he was completely off track.

The same man who would revolutionize physics started his career being told he wasn't cut out for academia.

Just had this conversation with myself:

9:00 AM: "Holy shit, I've figured out something nobody else has seen!"
9:17 AM: "Why did I think I could do this?"
9:32 AM: "Wait, no - this could actually work..."
9:45 AM: "I should probably get a real job."
10:00 AM: "BUT WHAT IF..."

Most people think building an online business means doing ALL THE THINGS.

Another platform. Another funnel. Another "proven system" someone's selling you.

But what if complexity is just another beautiful prison?

Want to know what changed everything for me?
