Capitalism exacerbates distress, definitely, but it's not the only root of distress. Someone can hurt me, to the point that I sink into extreme depression, and it's not out of profit motivations.
I understand that capitalism is embedded in everything, but correlation =/= causation. (2/3)

The premise of Hetalia is undeniably nationalist/statist. A lot of what I know about histories and cultures, not just for the Philippines, are hinged on some form of bias that I don't believe in — and certainly don't believe in //anymore.// (3/4)
