She is 15 and has had a good life. I don’t want the last bit to be suffering, even if that means saying goodbye sooner.

Is starving to death better than intense abdominal pain? My thought is no… going to an internist to get more questions answered and see if there is a humane way to extend her life.

These systems. I think folks should do whatever they can to protect their mental health while staying active in ways that protect/strengthen themselves/their communities.

We are in an extremely toxic place online, in general. The worst part - I suspect a majority is bot and algorithmically driven outrage. People feel powerful when pulsing with anger and online is a great outlet to vent without doing anything, which further supports the oligarchs running 1/

Finally watched HIM and… I didn’t think it was bad? The sports stuff isn’t really for me, but there was a lot of cool and disturbing imagery worthy of more than the 30% rotten tomatoes gave it.

We recently watched The Cell, which is beautiful in a similar way.

CA folks, I voted YES ON PROP 50.

Gerrymandering is objectively anti-democratic, but if Red and Purple states are going to do it (and they are), then the only way to ultimately put a stop to it is for Blue states to respond in-kind. Having the moral high ground won’t save Democracy.

I’m the same way. Thankful to have a partner who doesn’t think I’m overreacting. I still remember how he sat me down to share when Ruth died… he knew I was going to loose my shit, and he was right.

This is exactly how I feel. Really thankful to have the privilege to work with an EMDR therapist during this time. It’s helped me so much, everyone who needs it should have access.

I used to love this place as it has a really interesting outdoor seating area great coffee, and interesting vibe but the owner of this place I have watched verbally abuse her employees and it's disgusting. I remember going in one day and watching one of the baristas look like she was noticeably afraid of her employer like she was walking on eggshells and it was very odd and noticeable. I thought this lady might've been stressed out to work there. A few weeks later, I was going by this place as I live nearby and I saw this owner of this coffee shop, screaming at the top of her lungs in the face of this same barista.
Just verbally ripping into her verbally, abusing her something is wrong with that lady. Anytime I'm around that owner of this shop. I get the icky feeling. I've watched her scream at the top of her lungs in the face of someone who was just trying to do their best working for her. Everyone is stressed lady, some of us more than others, you don't take your stuff people.... I felt incredibly bad for that barista who appeared to be a middle-age mom type of person. I will never return to this place even though it was so close by and had an interesting unique vibe, loving small business. I will never go here again lady you need therapy to apologize to that chick..

Where is the smoking gun? This all seems really run of the mill resume and education stuff, which the majority of folks fudge at some point in their careers. Nothing even rising the to level of a full lie, more like embellishment.
