Nice, we're in the timeline where robot servants are piloted by people in developing nations for $3 a day. At least when US unemployment hits double digits we'll have a robust social safety net to figure the implications of this thing out. Hold on, someone is passing me a note—
can't stop watching this clip of a tesla Optimus teleoperator taking his headset off before properly logging out the robot

One interesting similarity between Trump and Putin/Russia is that if you try to explain the things they are actively engaged in doing, you sound like a crazy person. Like, it is objectively true that the Russian military is hunting civilians for sport in Ukraine, but it sounds nuts to a normie.

Tom Cotton was 24 years old when Bush was inaugurated. He was a fully developed adult throughout the entire Bush presidency. My brain cannot find a rationalization why he would confuse Trump for Bush twice in a 20 second span.
Freudian slip from Tom Cotton: "I think President Bush has every power under the Constitution to strike boats in international waters"

No Honor Among Thieves: An American Political Drama
Trump rages that Henry Cuellar didn’t pay him back for a pardon by switching parties, blasting Cuellar for a “lack of LOYALTY.”

In other words, Trump admits he was trying to use his pardon power to buy Republicans a House seat.

This is an embarrassing farce and everyone involved knows it, which is why they are on excuse number 15 for why they decided to murder people in cold blood. Everyone involved deserves to rot in prison until their dying breath.
EXCLUSIVE: Pete Hegseth ordered the U.S. military on Sept. 2 to kill all 11 people on a suspected drug-smuggling boat because they were on an internal list of military targets, the commander overseeing the operation told lawmakers, according to multiple sources.
Admiral told lawmakers everyone on alleged drug boat was on a list of military targets
Adm. Frank Bradley said U.S. intelligence had identified the 11 people on the boat and determined the military was authorized to kill them as part of Trump’s campaign against alleged drug-smuggling vessels.

I find it interesting that high ranking politicians in Poland, a nation whose government is painfully aware of the threat the Trump-Musk-Russia alliance poses, is now just openly calling Elon a nazi. I think we're closer to the EU doing something wild like sanctioning Musk than we realize.
Poland‘s Vice President Radoslaw Sikorski absolutely torches Elon Musk.

Applying the pedocon theory model of American politics to the "Joe Biden has dementia" outrage from the right leads you to the conclusion that Trump probably has dementia and is receiving regular treatment for it, hence the MRIs, semi-permanent bruised hand, and stroke face.

By all accounts, the "Based Macron" pivot seems to be the genuine article and, honestly, each new story like this makes me terrified to think of what the DGSE has shown him RE: Trump-Russia/MAGA foreign policy. It must be really bad if he's throwing around "betrayal" in private discussions.
According to Der Spiegel, Macron warned Zelensky that the United States "may intervene in the issue of territories without providing security guarantees" and used the word "betrayal." "Zelensky must be very careful in the coming days."

Tomorrow from Ezra Klein and Matt Yglesias: the Democratic Party will never win elections again unless it stops listening to its far-left extremists like Bill Kristol
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

Jeffries says not to expect Democrats to pursue Hegseth impeachment over boat strikes
"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor," he said.

If nothing else, it is absolutely imperative that Bradley sees time behind bars for this. Every commander in the future needs to know that they are on their own. That Hegseth and POTUS will hang them out to dry. It makes the order to fire on civilians a hell of a lot more real for them personally.
Pushing the blame down to an Admiral to cover his crimes…..

These dolts can get on Fox News and say whatever they'd like about Kelly et al's statement, but the public (and congressional, for that matter) reaction to the news that Hegseth did war crimes is evidence that any show trial would be DEA, and I welcome the admin getting dogwalked on war crimes.

Would love it if one of the reporters had asked, "then why is your administration discussing assassinating Maduro for allegedly selling drugs?"

Good journalism is easy if you have a backbone made out of anything stronger than balsa wood and Elmer's glue.
Reporter: You have made so clear how you want to keep drugs out of the US—

Trump: Right

Reporter: Can you explain why you would pardon a notorious drug trafficker?

Trump: If somebody sells drugs in that country, that doesn’t mean you arrest the president

Rubio is full of shit. They all follow the president's wishes, and the only thing the president cares about is making money. If Russia offered him a billion dollars in exchange for the life of every man, woman, and child in Ukraine, Trump would accept it.
Rubio: "We don’t just want to end the war, we want Ukraine to be secure forever, free, and to enter an era of prosperity."

NSDC Secretary Umerov: "We wrapped a tough but productive session in Florida. There’s real progress toward a just peace. Grateful to the U.S. for the strong support."
