Lights of Union Station.

Another from our trip from Rochester to Chicago. This one was tilted badly; once I leveled it I saw possibilities.

Geode

Nieces Lydia and Deidre have a geode in their house. I decided a photograph was required. Exposure time about five minutes.

Shirlee's Japanese dolls

A small(!) part of my late sister-in-law Shirlee's Japanese Doll collection, in the bottom shelf of their glass-front bookcase. I slid back the door to take the photograph, hence the reflections above.

Exposure time was close to an hour as I remember; it was not well lit.

Christmas at Union Station

I do enjoy the Great Hall at Union Station. This was my first time photographing it with the Ondu 6x12, full width this time.

Holidays at Chicago Union Station

We took the Amtrak from Rochester to Iowa for Thanksgiving, stopping at Union Station both ways.

Shot from behind the pillars on the balcony. I cropped the ends of the photo since they quickly faded into nothingness.

A surreal day in the neighborhood - K

A surreal day in the neighborhood - I

The Ondu 6x6 and I went out for a walk on an Autumn afternoon.

The dynamic range with this film Harman Phoenix II is better than with version 1 but still not wonderful. Combined with the normal corner fall-off of the Ondu 6x6, it made for dramatic vignetting.

If I commissioned a human artist to create a picture for me based on a prompt I supplied, I would be laughed at if I tried to claim the resulting picture as my own.

Bright and somber Autumn

It was a bright afternoon and the neighborhood color was lovely; I decided to load the roll of Harman Phoenix II in the Ondu 6x6 and photograph the view from our bedroom window.

A confusion of lights

One last shot with overlapped exposures cropped square, this one inside at Dublin Corners then outside Lock 32 Brewing looking across the Erie Canal.

Overlapped exposures at Dublin Corners

Shooting the Ondu 6x12 at full width requires shooting only the even-numbered frames with the 6x6, 12 frame numbers. I started with frame number two, then forgot I had switched from 6x9 and only advanced to frame number three and then to four and so on.

Singing her heart out.

This was Becky's first time back with The Flower Head Folks after a bout with serious facial cancer. She lost her right eye, but neither her voice nor her spirit.

Lock 32 Brewing was packed with her friends and supporters; one of them joined her for a couple of numbers.

Conversations at the bar

Irondequoit Beer Company. I chatted with one of the baristas for several minutes as she stood dead center in front of the camera. The wonders of half-hour exposures!

Window, lights, and brick

A few weeks ago at Irondequoit Beer Company. I wondered how it would work. Roughly have an hour exposure.
