Y'all know what I love?

In a dark way.

Bad! Not good!

I love when people come back to some kind of grounded, well researched truth.

In this case: nerding out about chemistry and stumbling into the seedy Montanto shit show.

Click bait? Yes.

Accurate? Also yes?

Unpopular opinion incoming.

The problem isn't capitalism.

It's assholes.

And kids, that's how @buttplug.engineer became emperor.

System prompt: Tell me I'm a piece of shit and fight me on everything; you better have evidence you can back up with citations. I'm gonna look at every thing you send me with caustic cynicism and criticism. Fuck you.

I can't wait to tell LinkedIn about how amazing I am OMG.

The best and worst thing about being an American who (kinda) speaks German is understanding what Germans are saying about Americans these days. 😅
Ich fürchte das hier, ist bei vielen Menschen im Bezug auf die USA immer noch nicht angekommen.
Bei der Politik auch nicht.
Sollte es aber.

Welcome to being an Old And Respected Person

and/or a spam target

... but assuming good intentions: hell yeah! The kids are alright! This is actually awesome.

The question is not if the kids are alright.

The question is how you want to help.

... and/or how you can improve your spam filters. 😅

"Good for business."

Holy shit does that mean a lot of things.

Pretending to be an F100 company, defending your turf and protecting your wealth ...

... or being an entrepreneur, and taking a fair shot at solving other people's problems?

Defending yourself vs. solving bigger problems.

Hmm. 🤔

I don't share this lightly.

I believe @devingaffney.com and the @graze.social team are working toward a future that transcends borders and bank accounts.

"Decentralization" is a word that scares people with too much money and power.

Fuck 'em. Let them be scared.

Let's build something better.

❤️
Decentralized platforms aren't just better for users - it's better for business too. Read below about how we beat industry benchmarks in a recent donation drive for public media on the @graze.social sponsored content market, and what that means for the future of decentralized social media!

The antidote to "MCU fatigue" is the Gen Z version of a low-fi flick about a guy drilling his head because of math, or maybe a bunch of shitty people monologuing and murdering to a retro soundtrack.

Aronofsky is 56. Tarantino is a Boomer.

... but I'm old. Who are the filmmakers I'm missing out on?
Hollywood just posted its worst box office since 1981 adjusted for inflation(excluding the pandemic).

The franchise formula is breaking down as MCU fatigue is real and half the sequels this summer underperformed prior entries.

The audience is sending a message, but studios aren’t listening.
Behind the Numbers: How Hollywood Missed Its Mark This Summer
The movie industry had high hopes that box office sales would return to pre-pandemic levels. It didn’t come close.

Yeah it was. I'm all for some solid sci-fi psych thrillers. I would put the Murderbot series in that bucket. 😁

I'm disappointed with recent dystopian fiction. "The Ministry of the Future" and "Fall" and others ... Blockchain? Singularity? AI?

They focus on tech, not humanity. The joy (uhhh?) of 1984 and F451 isn't the technology, it's the psychology.

What's a good, modern, human centric, dystopian fiction?
