And the irony of Norway, a country that maintains state ownership over significant portions of its own oil resources, now giving the prize to Machado who wants to privatise Venezuelan reserves (who, by the way, are the largest in the world)

We are dealing with a far-right figure with warm relations with Israel that has repeatedly added fuel to the fire of polarisation in the country.

A bridge for the future: The aluminum helideck of the decommissioned Gyda platform has become a new pedestrian and bike bridge in Trondheim, Norway. Think about all the cool things we can do with all the thousands of tonnes of fixed fossil capital out there!
Landmark aluminium bridge built with recycled materials opens in Norway
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen) opens a new pedestrian bridge in Trondheim, built by Leirvik in collaboration with Hydro and partners. It is the first aluminium bridge bui...

$500bn is roughly equivalent to annual global investment in solar PV.
drsimevans.carbonbrief.org
This helps explain why the oil-and-gas industry is needing to "run fast to stay still", spending $500bn a year just to maintain current output

Production rates from each field are declining increasingly rapidly

speaking of political assassinations, today we denounce again the dark beginning of neoliberalism, the assassination of Salvador Allende in Chile, a military coup backed by United States.

'The U.S. spent $8 million on covert actions between 1970 and the 1973 coup'.

The U.S. set the stage for a coup in Chile. It had unintended consequences at home
When the U.S. role in the 1973 coup in Chile became known, activists took action. So did U.S. lawmakers. This is what happened after the U.S. helped topple a Marxist and aided a right-wing dictator.

I am also astonished that Colombian president Gustavo Petro has read the entirety of Marx's Capital three times! What's your excuse?

What did not make it to the final print was some of my reasoning: I was able to take official credits in the study of Marx's Capital, and for several months I was able to take part in an astonishing social movement as the students launched a strike against cuts in public education. Unforgettable!

A prime example of what eco-Marxists call the metabolic rift! Marine dead zones below the fish farms due to an excess of nutrients, while the world seas are drained of vital resources.

Was reading a dreary report on decommissioning technology when suddenly this little fellow appeared and made my day

Unions and environmental organisations calling for oil and gas decommissioning to take place locally in order to bring jobs and boost circular economy in new report from Australia:
REPORT: WA Can’t Wait - Greenpeace Australia Pacific
Australia can’t wait. WA must lead the way by building a large-scale decommissioning hub for our environment, for jobs, and for a green energy future.

An illegally occupying army builds a concentration camp for every man, woman and child of an occupied land and decrees that those who will not be voluntarily interned in that camp will be ELIMINATED. Is there a more accurate definition of GENOCIDE?
