I asked Claude to map your idea, but added my own twist as a surgeon. That is, AI is "work in the head" and that is its ongoing limitation.

Big Brother doesn't need to rewrite history when our algorithmic feeds do it for us, one swipe at a time.

This piece exemplifies how journalism can serve democracy by recognizing when standard practices (treating each policy as an isolated event) fail to capture systematic threats to democratic norms.

It starts with a perfect circle of universal rights. Then, "We must act outside of the law to save it." The erosion is not a single, dramatic event, but a creeping, iterative process until universal protection under the law becomes a fractured reality where the boundary of justice is arbitrary.

mRNA can produce vaccines much faster than older methods, which are critical in pandemics. Cancelling them only increases the risk when the next pandemic comes. Not to mention vaccines for treatment of cancers and other immune-sensitive disorders.

"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." Great quote, though apparently Orwell never actually said it. Funny how the best quotes are often misattributed.

Fascinating to see the inner mechanics of AI training in real time. If you use ChatGPT 4.0 for healthcare queries, it uses American English spelling. Switch to 3.0, and then it defaults to British spelling…

I recently had the honor of delivering a lecture on the enduring legacy of Drs. Fortson and Haley—trailblazers who opened doors for so many of us in Otolaryngology.

This is what accountability journalism looks like. The reporter challenges official claims with evidence, centers the stakes for citizens, and serves democracy by making policy consequences visible.
