A spot of breakfast at our favourite cafe and a mooch around Norwich helped, plus a chat while driving did make her cry,but it's good to blub. A positive outcome and plan came from it.

The wife is feeling very down at the moment, the menopause is the culprit. She manages it so well,but its hit her a few time's over the last few weeks. I'm making her come into Norwich with me today,getting out a doing things help. I know because I suffered depression too. Little wins each day.

Long drive home,left leg numb from the ankle down, calf feels like it's about to go into cramp,and my thigh feels like it's about to explode.

So,sciatic is an absolute bitch. I've doubled my pregabalin to 300mg per day (max dose is 600mg) my entire left leg is either pins and needles or weak,or both if I'm lucky. Sitting is awful, which will be fun driving home for 4 hour's. Really can't make this shit up. At least walking eases it.

No Xmas shopping. I pulled my boot on and completely fucked my back, currently lying on side in bed at the hotel. I can barely hobble about. Poor Julia will have to drive us home as I can't put any pressure on my left leg,so will be unable to change gear, she's never driven my car before...

Italian food is great. Hanging today as I don't really drink anymore and we went through 2 bottles of wine. Off Christmas shopping after dropping the daughter of at her sport massage course.

Traveling to Birmingham yesterday should have been a 3.5 hour journey. Took 5, because and hour and a half was just trying to get out of bloody Norfolk. Kings Lynn was so congested, even though I diverted through the town centre.

So,it appears our head chef is no longer with the company. I have not had it confirmed yet,but the rumours are he's not coming back. After today I would hope so, I got in to find everything out of date in the fridge and had to close the restaurant to reprepare the entire menu.

Well I have had an interesting day at work. I left a WhatsApp group that is work based,as I am no longer at work when I finish at my finish time, this is off the back of being told I will no longer have set days off, and will get 1 weekend off a month, meaning I will get to have

Head chef called me yesterday after I sent my fit to work certificate in,asking if I was leaving. He told me that he had been contacted by an agency saying that I was looking for another job. I am not and have not and told him so . Very strange.

Back is still killing me, I can only sit for about 20 minutes before it becomes too painful. Then I have to stand up and hobble around, or go and lie on my side with a pillow between my legs to alleviate the pain. But after an hour lying down, it begins to hurt,so I rinse and repeat.

Over done it,bed ridden with my back, going to have to take a couple of days off from work, I should have been more careful. Silly when you get older ,everything takes longer to heal!

We had a lot of apple's, now we have a lot of apple puree and an apple, date,tamarind, ginger, and chilli chutney,and not enough jars to put the chutney in!

Just played in a DnD game, ran by a young lad in his early 20s. Give him his due, he did well, I'm looking forward to the next game in 2 weeks. Longfist, the Goliath fighter saved the day twice.
